This update brings several breaking changes. The parent and name parameters are now strictly required for the newly introduced voices methods. Additionally, several properties in GenaiVertexV1beta1Voice (namely expireTime, id, key, sampleAudio, and usage) and GoogleCloudAiplatformV1beta1TuningJob.gcsMetricsUri have been made read-only. Developers using video generation experiments should note that the structuredPrompt field in CloudAiLargeModelsVisionExperimentsResponseProEditResult and CloudAiLargeModelsVisionGenerateVideoExperimentsProEditConfig has changed type from object to string, requiring client-side updates.
Crucially, a previous breaking change has been rolled back: the status and related fields within GoogleCloudAiplatformV1beta1A2ATaskRecord are no longer read-only. Developers who adapted to the read-only restriction can now modify these fields again.
New capabilities include a voices resource with create, delete, get, and list methods, enabling the management of custom voices (prompted or replicated) and offering detailed filtering for listing voices by accent, context, gender, and more. The projects.updateCacheConfig method now supports an updateMask parameter for more precise cache configuration updates. Finally, OAuth scopes for agents methods now explicitly list https://www.googleapis.com/auth/aiplatform as the primary scope, with https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform as an alternative.
