The JobConfigurationQuery and QueryRequest schemas now include a new secureContext field. This field, backed by the new SecureContext schema, allows developers to pass key-value pairs of sensitive or context-specific information directly into query execution. These values can then be retrieved within the query using the SECURE_CONTEXT() function, enabling more dynamic and secure query behaviors.
For data export, JobConfigurationExtract gains a nativeGeographyExportEnabled boolean property. When set to true for Parquet exports, BigQuery will now write the native Parquet Geography type instead of the default GeoParquet type, offering more control over geospatial data representation.
Breaking Change Alert: The referencedLogicalViews property within the JobStatistics2 schema has been made read-only. If your applications or tools were previously attempting to set or modify this field, they will now encounter errors. Please update your code to reflect this change.
