This update introduces extensive breaking changes to the Dataplex API. All methods and schemas related to DataAttributeBindings, DataAttributes, and DataTaxonomies have been removed. This includes methods like projects.locations.dataattributebindings.create, delete, get, list, patch, and their counterparts under projects.locations.datataxonomies and projects.locations.datataxonomies.attributes. Corresponding schemas such as GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataAttribute, GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataAttributeBinding, GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataTaxonomy, and their associated list responses have also been entirely removed or gutted.
Additionally, the state property within the GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataAssetAccessGroupConfig schema has been made read-only, meaning it can no longer be set by API consumers. On the additive side, GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataProductAccessGroup now includes an optional defaultIamRoleConfig property, which references a new schema GoogleCloudDataplexV1DataProductAccessGroupDefaultIamRoleConfig. This new configuration allows specifying a role (e.g., "roles/bigquery.dataViewer") to be applied as a default IAM role on data assets associated with a data product for a given access group. Developers relying on the removed data governance features must refactor their code.
